Reverend L. Charles Stovall - For over 30 years, from the voting booths of South Africa to the streets of South Dallas, Charles Stovall has been a strong and consistent voice for society's most marginalized members. We are proud to honor him as the 2008 Peacemaker of the Year.

 Hope for Peace and Justice (H4PJ) - H4PJ's continued efforts to ensure a living wage for sanitation workers. while educating their members and the public on the injustices of capital punishment make them the 2008 Peacemaker of the Year.

 Bob Dennis - A prominent and well recognized figure in the Dallas peace activist community. This former DPC board president's tireless efforts on behalf of the disposessed make him worthy of our Lifetime Achievement Award

 Mavis Belisle - After 17 years of often single-handed resistance to US instigated nuclear proliferation as director of the Peace Farm in Amarillo, Mavis has returned to Dallas. This voice in the wilderness is a fitting recipient of our Lifetime Achievement Award.
